The closest airport is South Bend International Airport (SBN), but flights to SBN are very limited. We recommend looking into Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR, 1.5 hours away) or O’Hare International Airport (ORD, 2.5 hours away)

The rehearsal dinner is casual (jeans).
Wedding Day
The wedding is dressy casual. The venue is a lovely barn, and we will having the ceremony and dinner outside (weather permitting). We would like everyone to be comfortable all night and able to play yard games like corn hole. In October, the mean daily maximum in Cassopolis is 62°F, the mean daily minimum is 42°F, and the daily mean is 52°F.
Here are some additional guidelines:
- Wear shoes that will not sink into grass and can walk on gravel
- You do not need to wear a tie
- Suit jackets are optional
- Skirts do not need to be full length

Is the ceremony outside or inside?
The ceremony and wedding dinner will be outdoors (weather permitting). We will also have access to the beautiful Marion Magnolia Barn to play games in, enjoy adult beverages, and as a backup for the ceremony.

Emory and Zephan will be changing their names to Emory Anne Michaels and Zephan Enciso Michaels.
How was this website built?
This entire website is written in Markdown, and the HTML is generated by Pandoc. Zephan wrote the CSS, which is why it looks so bad. The RSVP system and other scripted elements are running on a FastCGI server using PHP-FPM. All of the site content is served up hot and fresh with nginx running on a storage server in Zephan and Emory’s basement. The traffic to our site is reverse proxied through Cloudflare, and the TLS certificates are provided by Let’s Encrypt via certbot. If images load slowly, blame Xfinity, our ISP of “choice.”
